The Norman arch over the south entrance to the church.
The arch is not in its original position which may have been as a west door (where the tower is now) or in another building. The inscription above in Gothic script (see black and white photo of interior) reads ‘Enter into His gates with Thanksgiving and into His courts with Praise’. It may be Victorian or Reformation (when biblical texts replaced “graven images” detested by radical Protestants).
