The ordinary meeting of Northwood Parish Council, to be held in the School Hall at Northwood Primary School, Wyatts Lane, Northwood, Isle of Wight on Tuesday, 6 January 2015 commencing at 6.30 pm, for the transaction of the business as set out in the agenda below.

AGENDA

1. To receive and approve any apologies for absence
2. Members’ interests
To receive any declarations of Members’ interests and written requests for Dispensations on items forming the agenda
3. To receive a report on behalf of the Local Safety Neighbourhood team, plus an opportunity to discuss local policing priorities
4. To confirm and authorise the Chairman to sign the Minutes of the previous meeting of the Parish Council held on 2 December 2014 (Paper A)
5. To receive any matters arising on the Minutes, not requiring a resolution

a. To consider the following planning applications received and make
comments in accordance with the guidance for material planning

ii. TCP/24172E 7 Fieldway Crescent, Northwood – Retrospective permission for the retention and completion of shed
iii. TCP/32097 Unit 25 to 26 Somerton Industrial Park, Newport Road, Northwood – Change of Use from Class B1 to Class B2 (Food Production)
b. To note that the Local Planning Authority has received revised plans for application TCP/31184/E at 58 Pallance Road, Northwood which are considered to be a minor revision to the scheme and therefore further comments are not required
c. To note the decisions taken by the Local Planning Authority since the last meeting of the Parish Council
i. TCP/18840/B 14 Wyatts Lane, Northwood – Conditional Planning Permission for proposed single storey rear extension to form lounge and dining room
ii. TCP/32052 31 Greenways, Northwood – Conditional Planning Permission for the proposed extension on side elevation to form hall and lounge on ground floor with en-suite bedroom and first floor level within roofspace including dormer window on roof elevation
7. To consider and take decisions with respect to the Saturday route of the Service 32, Cowes, Gurnard and Northwood Community Bus – Cllr Riddet
8. To consider the draft Isle of Wight Council Highway Amenity Permissions Policy (Paper B – Circulated by email on 30 December)
9. To consider the report suggesting the provision of picnic tables on the play park area – Cllr Fuller (Paper C – to follow)
10. To receive an oral progress report on the revision of the “Welcome to Northwood” booklet – Cllr Riddet
11. To consider submitting a nomination to attend the Buckingham Palace Garden Party on 20 May (Paper D)

iv. To consider the application for a contribution towards the costs of staging the IW Armed Forces Day in 2015 (Paper G)

ii. To approve Mr Mike Cox, as the Internal Auditor for the 2014/15 accounts
iii. To consider the award of the insurance contract for 2015 (Paper H)

17. To receive the Draft Programme for the Spring Seminar – Taking The Isle Of Wight Forward, to be held at the Riverside Centre on Monday 16 March 2015 and to approve the attendance of interested persons (Paper J)

MEMBERS OF THE PUBLIC
In accordance with Standing Order 3e, any member of the public wishing to speak on an item on the agenda may speak at a Council meeting at the start of the agenda item for a period not exceeding 3 minutes.
When a ‘Group’ of members of the public wish to speak on an item, they will, subject to the Chairman’s discretion be required to nominate a representative who may speak for a maximum of 3 minutes.
It would assist the smooth running of the meeting if you would advise the clerk prior to the start of the meeting of your wish to speak.
