Dear Councillors

You are hereby summoned to attend a meeting of the Planning Committee, to be held in the *WI Hall, Northwood, Isle of Wight on Tuesday, 3 August 2010 commencing at 6.30 pm for the transaction of the business set out in the agenda below.

Members of the public and press are welcome to attend.

AGENDA

1. To receive and approve any apologies for absence.
2. To receive any declarations of Members’ interests in items on the agenda.
3. To confirm and authorise the Chairman to sign the Minutes of the meeting held on 19 January 2010 (Paper  A – which were circulated and confirmed at the meeting of the Parish Council on 2 February 2010)
4. Town and Country Planning
a. To consider the following application received and make comments in accordance with the guidance for material planning considerations listed at http://www.iwight.com/council/departments/planning/appsdip/MakingCommentsInfo.aspx

i. TCP/21526/B 88 Pallance Road, Northwood, PO31 8LP – Demolition of shed; construction of detached garage and parking space (revised scheme)
ii. TCO/26375/B 15 Nodes Road, Cowes, PO31 8AB – Replacement of planning permission (P/01188/05/TCP26375/A: alterations and single storey extension to form living room/dining area and utility room; decking and terrace areas) in order to extend the time limit for implementation

b. To note the decisions taken by the Local Planning Authority since the last meeting of the Planning Committee:
i. TCP/00464/K Hope Cottage, Church Lane, Cowes, PO31 8PQ – Conditional Planning Approval for the demolition of garage; proposed detached garage/workshop with storage in roofspace

ii. TCP/25910/A 44 Venner Avenue, Northwood, PO31 8AG – Conditional Planning Approval for the demolition of garage; single storey side extension to provide additional living accommodation to include porch.

 

PUBLIC SPEAKING
In accordance with Standing Order 27, any member of the public wishing to speak on an item on the agenda may speak at a Council meeting at the start of the agenda item for a period not exceeding 3 minutes.
When a ‘Group’ of members of the public wish to speak on an item, they will, subject to the Chairman’s discretion be required to nominate a representative who may speak for a maximum of 3 minutes.

The total time allowed for questions/representations by members of the public will not exceed ten minutes for any given item

It would assist the smooth running of the meeting if you would advise the clerk prior to the start of the meeting of your wish to speak.
