Does anyone know of the “Bilk” Dynasty!

I am looking for records of the Bilk family who lived in Northwood for many years – the first record I have goes back to 1740 – to John Bilk. Does anyone know any history of William Bilk who planted the umbrella tree on Queens Road in 1790? I have found no trace of him in the Island’s Record Office in Newport.
