Friends of Northwood House

The Friends of Northwood House are having a meeting Wednesday next, 21st April at 7pm, Medina Room, Northwood House.
The purpose of the meeting is to form a new committee and to give the public a means of getting their concerns about the future of the house and park heard.
The Friends now have a lot of background information but need new people and more help.

This again as I have said many times in the past is WASTE OF TIME.
All the Friends have ever done is get in the way. For sake of all of us please just drop it. The last thing Northwood House needs is something else to slow the process of choosing a suitable use for it.
JUST DROP IT. YOU CAN DO NOTHING BUT SLOW THE PROCESS DOWN FURTHER.

Further to their meeting on 21st April where it was decided there is still a need for The Friends,one new committe member wes appointed but more are still needed.
A stand at St. Georges Day,Northwood Park was a great success with over one hundred new Friends signed up.
There is a great danger that the house and park will go to a lease and joining The Friends is a way of making the publics feelings known to the Trustees of Northwood House.It is the Trustees who have the final say on this.When a lease is granted it will be too late to complain.
The next meeting of the Friends of Northwood House is on;
Wednesday 9th June, 7pm. Northwood House, Marriage Room,Registry Office entrance.

The question that really needs asking is………..
Is Northwood House a benefit for the community in its present role, or would it be better sold off and the value gained, be used to enhance many organisations that are crying out for funds?
Hornets nest? I expect so, but some times the most unpalatable question is the most direct!

To the person asking when action is going to be taken perhaps they would like to attend the above,stand up to be counted and offer their free time to organise whatever action they feel would get the house renovated and profitable whilst keeping the public use.

I have seen an advert stating 27th April…………..is this something else…………..or do you have the date wrong ? Withyskinner
