Looking for Island/Northwood Attrill family

I have Island family connections although I cannot find any living family there yet.
My maiden name is ATTRILL which is fairly common on the Island.
I visited the Island in 1987 for a family reunion and although there were around 120 Attrills there I could not find any family links.

We go back to John ATTRILL of Vittlesfield marrying Elizabeth NEWIN in 1736. All their grandchildren were born in Northwood in the late 1700s and the family lived there until the late 1800s until they moved to the mainland. They were mainly at Nodes Farm.

I would like to find out more on our family, both living and our Ancestors but we don’t seem to be able to get any further.

Are there any parishioners with this surname that could help me?

I am currently researching this family for a distant cousin of mine and wondered if you had any information on them?

I have info back to the 1841 census – the line I am concerned with is John Attrill b abt 1787 wife Ann Horwood who were living at Nodes farm until their deaths in 1868 & 1869. Their son John 1824 was also a farmer at Nodes Farm (wife Mary Ann Hollis. Their son John Hollis Attrill married Emily Worpell in 1888 and then the family seemed to move to London, West Ham District. Their eldest son Herbert John Attrill married Margaret Rebecca Wagner in 1915 London and their daughter Gewndoline Agnes Attrill is the grandmother of the distant cousin I have mentioned………….does this make sense??????????

I am especially interested to know if you have any info on John Attrill’s (1787) parentage?
