NORTHWOOD COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIP REPORT

As mentioned in our last report, the August event took us away from the W. I. Hall. Twenty-five of us travelled to Briddlesford Lodge Farm, for a very enjoyable afternoon. We were greeted by the owner, Richard Griffin, who invited those who wished to accompany him on a short tour of the farm. The remainder of us stayed in the café chatting and looking out at the calves in their stalls having their feed. When the others returned, Richard gave us a short history of the farm which the Griffin family have farmed since 1923. We then all had lovely tea and cakes, before going to spend our money on “goodies” in the shop. We would like to express our thanks to everyone at the farm for their hospitality and I would like to thank all the car drivers for their help in transporting everyone there.

There will not be a Residents’ Event at the W. I. Hall in November, as we will be celebrating “Christmas” early. Details have been distributed.

During October, the village will be planted with the Autumn/Spring plants. If anyone is able to give us a couple of hours to help make the village look good, please contact any of the above numbers. We really would be very grateful for any assistance.
