Northwood W.I. Report

President Anne Jonas welcomed members to the meeting, wishing them all a Happy New Year. Anne also welcomed a new member, Susan Douglas to Northwood W.I.

There are many interesting items coming up in the next few months, including a Table Top Sale on the 16th February, another one of our popular Lunch and Games on the 14th March and an Outing in June to Mottisfont Abbey, near Romsey, to name just a few.

Ivan Jackman, the Flagman, who lives along Newport Road, near the Show Ground at Northwood, gave an interesting talk about his Flag collection.

Competition winners were:
Pauline Pledge for a Flag related item
and
Jacquie Pearce for Best Garden Bloom.

Cups were presented for the winners of 2012:
General competition – Judeth Baker
Cookery – Anne Jonas.

As Elisabeth Hamilton was away, she will be presented with her cup at the next meeting.

Our next meeting in February is a social meeting with a quiz.
