Nodes Road grass verges

Is there any way to stop people driving along the grass verges in Nodes Road.
Within the last couple of days big-wheeled vehicles (i.e. vans) have driven along all the ones from Uplands Road and along to the farm, leaving big tyre tracks in them. With the wet winter setting in and people continuing to drive on them (which I’m puzzled as to why they would in the first place), they are quickly going to turn to mud verges and look awful. I think the verges add a bit of class to the roadside. All the houses along Nodes Road have nice big driveways and so it isn’t the residents doing this by parking on them. They just seem to appear……..

Could it be delivery vans? (Lots of Internet shopping before Christmas = lots of courier’s vans that don’t use driveways!)

    - if it doesn’t obstruct the footway it may not be unlawful. It may be antisocial, but it could be argued that the intention was to avoid obstructing the main carriageway.

Maybe there will be sledge tracks and hoof marks in a few weeks time.

    Ho Ho Ho

You should report your concerns to the NVMC. Not sure what they can do, but they must know who to approach in the Council Highways dept.
