Request for information – Grange Boarding School Northwood

Posted by Ruth Arber on Tuesday, 3rd January 2006, 08:43

Does anyone know anything about the Grange, a boarding school in Northwood?
I have been researching my family’s history and have discovered that according to the 1881 Census my grandfather – Charles Allen – was at a boarding school called Grange, Northwood. My father says that my grandfather met Queen Victoria when he was picking wild flowers on the Isle of Wight, presumably this was when he was a pupil at the Grange as it is near Osborne House. Do you or any of your readers know anything about the Grange? I would be very grateful for any information that you could send me.
