Have I just misread the County Press (page 63) I think it states that the 30 MPH speed limit is going to be replaced with a 40 MPH in a section of Nodes Road? Why?
No, I do not know where the 40mph has come from. There is nothing in the revision orders about that. I reiterate, ALL these sections will remain at 30mph! Roger M.
Thank you Roger, but i am even more confused now as it still seems that removing a 30 MPH section and replacing it with a 40 MPH is not what most locals want, even if it makes the remaining 30 MPH section more easier to enforce, and Im not sure how that works! I look foward to the proposed 30 MPH through the village.
This clears up an anomaly because there was more than one 30mph imposed limit on these parts of the local roads inc. the A3020 in the village. By removing one, that remaining is I am advised now easier to enforce against speeding motorists. Don’t ask me how there came to be two separate speed limits in the first place!
I did report on the proposed changes which were previously advertised last year in an earlier Rogers Report to the Parish Council.
So please rest assured, the 30mph limit remains. Indeed under recent other changes the whole of Nodes Road becomes a 30mph limit as does the top (Northwood) end of Place Road.
I too am looking forward to the 30mph change along the whole of Nodes Road!
