36 Wyatts Lane late 1890s - 1900s

This is Ivy Cottage (no 36) Wyatts Lane (which dates back to the middle of the 1700s). It was taken around late 1890s to early1900s, when it still had the Ivy around it. I used to live there with my mother Margaret Cotton (nee Crabb). She lived there from the early 1950s until her death in 1997. Originally there were three terraced cottages. The left hand cottage was Barlycorn Cottage (which was since knocked down and completely rebuilt). My father rented the middle & right hand cottages(Ivy Cottage) which were now 1 cottage, and modified/overhauled them. After the storm in 1987, the roof and end gable had been badly damaged, so my mother had to have extensive works. The roof and upper rooms had to be completely rebuilt, but the lower walls and end gable walls remained. I don’t know anything further about the photo or who the lady was in it. Note how the road in Wyatts Lane then does not appear to be made up yet.
