Allotments in Northwood
Posted: Wednesday, January 09, 2008 4:13 AM
I have recently moved to Northwood, and have a young family. I had a vegetable patch in our previous garden. I am now looking into acquiring an allotment; however the Cowes and Newport sites are both full with an expected two-year wait. I spoke to another resident of the village and was advised that there was a list of other people who also wanted allotments. However I have been unable to locate said list, can anyone point me in the right direction?
Thanks

The Northwood Village Management Committee and Community Partnership have been working towards creating an allotment site in Northwood, however until the village is Emparished this coming May, this is something that we are advised we are unable to progress.

If in the meantime, you want to be included on the provisional list for allotments, please contact Eileen Palmerton Secretary to the Northwood Community Partnership on 282242.

Hi,

If you search for 'Allotments' there are three NVMC articles on the subject. Either click on the 'Search' menu item (top-right) or there is a search box at the bottom of the front page on the front of the site. Remember to select search northwoodvillage.org.uk rather than the web.

Looks like they are currently looking for a location for the allotments.

Hope that helps and happy gardening.

I personally dont want an allotment, but hope that those that do, are successful in achieving their goal and the sooner the better.........so that they can get planting !
